Meet Jane Rubietta ...
To depict what happens when Jane steps in front of a microphone as speaking is one-dimensional. Audiences describe her presence as mesmerizing, deeply spiritual, funny, vulnerable, dramatic, and personal.
Jane's passion is to see people's hearts restored by the knowledge of the truth: that God absolutely delights in them, that God is crazy about them, that God would give everything on earth to make sure they know they are loved. The problem is, she says, "that we have lost our hearts. We are so busy stamping out fires and tending to a thousand urgencies every day, that we don’t remember, don’t notice, that our hearts have gotten trampled somewhere in all the stamping."
"I believe that every issue we face - whether aging, busyness, failure, shame, transitions - every issue is intended to lead us to God," she says. "Our tendency is to let our problems separate us from God and one another - but instead, they can become tools to allow us to deepen our spiritual lives, and to in turn change the world!"
Jane speaks internationally and ecumenically.
In addition to co-authoring Fabulous after 50 with her brilliant friend Shirley Mitchell, other books include Grace Points: Growth and Guidance in Times of Change (InterVarsity Press, 2004), How to Keep the Pastor You Love (IVP, 2002), the award-winning Quiet Places, Still Waters (a Gold Medallion Nominee), and Between Two Gardens (all Bethany House, 1997, 1999, 2001). Her nearly 100 articles have appeared in magazines such as Physician, Focus on the Family, LifeWise, Moody, Today's Christian Woman, Plus, Christianity Today, Christian Reader, the Lookout, and Decision.
Jane and her husband, Rich, an ordained minister, operate the Not-for-Profit Abounding Ministries, which communicates the life-changing love of God in Christ through writing, speaking, music, and retreats, in churches, communities, and schools.
